Wythe Creek Rd. over Brick Kiln Creek

Bryant Structures, Inc. was awarded this $54 million project to widen Wythe Creek Road and construct a new, 1,545′ long bridge. The bridge construction is fully accessed from a temporary trestle in order to maintain the existing lanes of traffic and protect the environmentally sensitive wetlands. The project also includes a permanent sheet pile wall and ground improvement piles to mitigate the poor soils at Carys Chapel Road, extensive utility relocations, and an intricate reversable lane system to reduce congestion during peak hours. Construction started in March of 2024 and is schedule to be completed in early-2028.
